In her spare time, Mallory Holley also writes about her kustom kulture lifestyle, including her love for vintage, pinups and old-skool cars in her blog, titled ‘High Heels & Whitewall Wheels’.
Since March 2011, Mallory’s High Heels and Whitewall Wheels blog has evolved into what it is today, with currently over 13,600 fabulous followers over various social media platforms and subscribing dirrectly to the blog itself.
Offering vintage inspiration, styling advice, detailed product reviews and how-tos, Mallory’s blog covers a broad range of topics surrounding a modern day pin-up and kustom kulture lifestyle. She also posts about the car cruises and events she attends, photographic adventures and occasionally shares stories about the animals in her life. Mallory hopes to inspire and encourage anyone who shares her passions.
So what’s in a name? Well, ‘High Heels’ incorporates Mallory’s girly side of vintage inspired fashion, pin-ups and of course, shoes (the higher the better!) ‘Whitewall Wheels’ therefore incorporates Mallory’s love of cars and the 1940s and 50’s era. Aside from the cute rhyme, whitewall tyres (as opposed to blackwall tyres) were an extremely popular choice of wheel, particularly in the early 1950s and are associated with this charming era. Today, you will find many hotrods, ratrods, classic and custom cars cruising around on whitewall wheels. Overall, ‘High Heels & Whitewall Wheels’ aims to bring back the nostalgia and charm of the 1940s and 50s into everyday modern life.
