Miami Cheesecake

Due to popular demand, my  exhibition; Miami Cheesecake has been extended!  Therefore until the 30th January 2013, the colourful canvases, most of them filled with cool cars and gorgeous girls will continue to nobly grace the rich burgundy walls of Bartiste Lounge Bar.

Miami Cheesecake is a blast from the past with a contemporary twist that celebrates the feminine form with an eclectic collection of classic 1940ʼs & ʻ50s pin- up beauties, juxtaposed with stunning showgirls, burlesque bombshells, hot heroines and boss cars.

Although there’s a handful of old favorites in Miami Cheesecake, most of the artwork for Miami Cheesecake are completely unseen photographs of names you know and love such as Memphis Black, Lit’l Red, Melissa Molotov, Miss Eliza Kaye, Samantha Doll, Skye Medusa, Miss Cherry Martini, and Vicky Aisha Blackthorn just to mention a few of the names involved. It also showcases some of the great makeup artistry of  Denise Moretti & Ollie Savage, as well as some body paint too.

I’m really grateful to everyone who came down and supported me for the opening of Miami Cheesecake on the 9th December 2012.  What a fantastic evening it was. It was fabulous to see all the hard work and many hours come together when my artworks were not only all finally printed and stretched onto frames, but hanging on the walls.

Finally I was able to relax and enjoy the afternoon in my stunning 1950s full circle reproduction dress from Vivien of Holloway.  I teamed up my super-comfortable dress with a pink pettycoat (also from Vivien of Holloway), a pair of gold digger zombie-stomper pump heels and wearing “Garry” my pet 1940s vintage fur fox around my neck.  (Thanks Mum & Dad for the special early Christmas present.  I looooove him!!!).

If you like the style of my dress they are available from Vivien of Holloway Australia.  You can contact the Australian representative, Christine on 0417 144 169 or email christine@vivienofholloway.com to get one for yourself in a huge arrage of gorgeous patterns and pretty much every single colour you can think of.  Of course, I HAD to get one in pink since it is my favourite colour, and also matched my hot, hot pink hair.

It was very exciting to sell three of my works in only the first twenty minutes of the opening of my exhibition!  In total there are thirty-two artworks on display for Miami Cheesecake, which include the following titles;

After the 9th of February 2013, my work will vanish from the walls of Bartiste Lounge Bar, so do head down to Rossmith Lane, Frankston, whilst Miami Cheesecake continues to be extended!
